Michael Welch has experience representing commercial general contractors, residential general contractors and almost all areas of trade contracting, including masonry, electrical, plumbing, roofing, paving, grading, concrete forming, drywall, and framing.

Michael Welch stresses that problems with construction projects frequently begin at the earliest stages. For subcontractors this typically involves the negotiation of contracts which are so one-sided as to put the subcontractor at a significant disadvantage in any negotiation or litigation of disputes that arise during the course of the construction.

Some troublesome contract clauses include the following typically found provisions in general contractor contracts which may pose significant problems for the trade contractor.
